I was so excited when I got Svetlana’s inquiry. She was wondering if I was available to photograph a small wedding ceremony at Excelsior Commons on a Tuesday afternoon. Heck yeah! Small, weekday weddings are so much fun! Svetlana is from the Excelsior area so wanted to have her wedding on the Lake where she spent so much time growing up.
Their love story is unique. They met while Svetlana was studying abroad in Russia. Shortly before she was due to come back to the states he proposed! So Svetlana came back home to Minnesota and a few months later Dennis joined her. Dennis is from Russia and during our portrait time she even had to translate a lot of my directions for me! After a quick ceremony lead by Tammy of A Breath of New Life we had a fun photo session around the lake and downtown Excelsior which just happened to be having their farmer’s market. Fun!
